What Is the JCPL?
The Junior Cricket Premier League.
Franchise-format. All-weather. Shoulder season. Leeds pilot — September 2026.
We’re not replacing your summer season. We’re filling the gap your players disappear into. A short, fun, high-intensity competition — played on Sunday afternoons in September–October and February–March — that keeps your juniors competing, developing and loving cricket when everyone else has packed up for winter.
- Competitive / Franchise identities, league tables, Trophy & Vase finals
- Tech-enabled / Matches filmed
- All-weather / Astroturf surfaces — weather doesn’t win here
- Mixed by default / Open to boys and girls — girls-only league where demand exists
- Sunday afternoons / Built around your players’ other sports — no morning clashes
- Every team gets a finals day / Trophy or Vase — no one goes home after the group stage
The Leeds Pilot
Leeds Pilot — September 2026
We’re selecting 8 founding franchises from across Leeds. Clubs, academies and schools who will help shape the JCPL from the ground up — the format, the culture, the identity. Founding places are limited and confirmed in order of application.
The deadline is 31 July 2026.
